Two bills were presented in the Sadan for discussion. These bills were drafted by our team of advocates and law students from reputed National Law Universities after doing extensive research on the burning issues facing the state.

  • Anti- Human Trafficking

A bill to prevent and counter trafficking in persons, especially women and children, to provide for care, protection, and rehabilitation to the victims.

  • Social Security Bill

A bill for the establishment of a Social Security Fund for the welfare of unorganised workers.

RESULT OF THE AGENDA

After a thorough discussion in the house, both the bills were passed. Both the parties in the house had their say and, even after the opposition tried to pass a no confidence motion the majority went in favour of the ruling party.

CONCLUSION OF THE EVENT

Numerous seminars, workshops, simulated parliamentary debates on bills and interaction with public authorities were organized in between the parliamentary sessions.

The members of Sadan got an opportunity to get acquainted with basic Parliamentary procedures, their prevalence in legislative parlance and application in the political system.
